MTT Teams are a Sunday only MTT stake which has a group of people playing in the same games, sharing profit and makeup. Playing in a structure along these lines will not only help to lower short term variance all around, but provide a fun and supportive team atmosphere for all players involved.
Some more details about the team structure are below. Please pay particular attention to point one. The teams do not (and never will), collude, chip dump, soft play, or cheat in any other way!
We welcome applications from solid MTT players. If you are interested in joining a team please let us know.
Most importantly! Teams will NOT collude, anyone caught chip dumping or sharing hole card information will be dropped from the team and lose their stake. If you end up on the same table, don't soft play. No excuses and no exceptions.
The Teams will play tourneys each Sunday, at Pstars & Tilt
Teams will be of 4-6 people, one of whom will be a trainer (trainer will be playing in the tourney/s as part of the team). The trainer will be the team leader and have final say in which tourney/s the team enters.
Teams will share an MTT bankroll and makeup.
Before the MTT session, the team will all meet up over skype/teamviewer, for a 1 hour training session with the team leader. He will answer any questions they have, give advice on specific adjustments which they might need to make to their game for the particular type of tourney etc.
When a player is knocked out they will stick around and provide moral support via skype. It will not be acceptable to vanish if you are knocked out. Stick around, rail the other players on your team and provide whatever support they need. Remember, a win for them is money for you.
Players and trainer will take an equal share of 50% of all team winnings, regardless of whether they individually cash in a tourney or not.
The trainer will be free to remove people from the team at any time, obviously the player will still receive any winnings owed up to that point. If a player is removed from the team they do not take makeup with them. The trainer will listen to arguments for and against keeping/dropping players, but he has the final say. If a player wished to remove themselves from the team, then they will owe their share of makeup only to the team. Obviously a player cannot remove themselves from the team after a tourney, or set of tourneys has started. Players will only be removed from teams after the whole set of MTTs is complete unless they are exceptional circumstances, for example cheating.
Whether or not team makeup carries over to the next set of team games (i.e the next Sunday) will be decided on a case by case basis. Normally losses will carry over however sometimes they will not. For instance if we have recommended a player who turns out not to be suitable we would absorb their share of makeup.
