How does it work?

Initially a player who wants to be staked will fill in our application form online. We may request some more information via the Correspondence box in the Application or we may arrange to chat via Skype. We will go over what we want from the stake, what they want from us and if we reach an agreement we will agree when the stake will begin (usually immediately). Having completed our background checks the stake terms then get formalised into a contract via the website. Once accepted via the website we transfer the initial stake to the player (usually directly to the players' poker account) and the stake partnership begins.

Results will be loaded to our site by the player daily and winnings distributed between the player and Sharkstaking on a frequency agreed in the contract terms (usually monthly). For more details on this process please read below.

Applications:

All applications take place via the website application system. As part of the application step a player registers a username allowing them to log in to track their application, add/change application details and communicate with us. Applications will normally be responded to within 24 hours Mon-Sat. You will hear from us whether or not your application is successful.

Offers:

When an application is accepted in principle we will communicate a formal offer to the player. This will include the levels we are willing to stake the player for, the volume we expect the player to play, the results we expect to see before moving the player to higher levels and the % split we are willing to offer plus rakeback agreements where applicable.

Once an offer has been accepted in principle, we formalise the offer terms on the system. The player will be able to review the terms via the Application screen and if satisfied accept the offer terms on the system forming our agreement. We will then set your account up as a staked player on the Sharkstaking website and arrange your stake.

Communication:

We primarily communicate with staked players and applicants by the following two methods.

* Using the website messaging system: This is the preferred method for day to day communications including re-stake requests.

* Skype: initially we use Skype to set up a stake and to go over any questions or requests. Skype is also used in conjunction with Teamviewer and mic for coaching/sweating sessions. We are available most days on Skype for general day to day questions.

Stake agreements:

Once a player has accepted an offer of terms on the website we will arrange to meet them on Skype and set up their stake.
